On the way home from volleyball, I picked Jordan and Katie up from Katie's dad's house. The three of us went back to my house so I could change. After that, we basically just drove around. First, we went to Paperback Plus, which was closed. In it's place, we headed to Barnes 'n' Noble and chilled out for a while. Then we headed to TJ Maxx so I could try on some things that I've wanted to try on for awhile and Katie and Jordan grabbed some stuff too. We took lots of pictures of us in our outfits. It was cute. :D After that, we drove all the way up to Manchester to go to the Goodwill (seeing as how it's the best one), but it was closed. So we decided to go get some McDonalds (Happy Meal toys and snackwraps!) and then I called Josh. We all went to his place and hung out. I sure miss that kid. Then, I took Jordan and Katie back to Katie's house and then I drove home.
On Friday I went to the Kennedy football game versus Trinity. We won, of course. Trinity definately thought it was our Homecoming game so they brought a zillion of their fans. What stupid losers. Haha.
I spent the game with Madeleine, Lola, Tony, and Alex. I also had a heart to heart with my Lexibaby. It was a wonderful night.
After the game, Lola, Madeleine, Tony, Alex, Maggie, Rachel, and I all went to the Steak 'n' on Manchester. We all just got shakes pretty much. It was wonderful.
Saturday was the Ludo concert I had been anticipating.
Lona, Jordan, Katie, and I planned to go early and it payed off because we were the first ones there. We were about 4 hours early -- talk about dedicated fans. For that time period, we sat outside the door of the Creepy Crawl and just chilled, hanging out with pigeons and wishing there was a food place nearby. Eventually, other people started to show up, including Jordan and Lona's friends Liz, Marissa, Elise and Alyssa <-- (who I adore). When 4:30 rolled around, the show was being delayed due to the lack of a will call list. I was so fucking tired of waiting but when the bands came out to visit us, it was all good. There was Andrew and Matt from Ludo, some guy from Amsterband, and others (which I don't really remember). We talked to them and they were very very very nice. Oh, we made sure they knew how dedicated we were, getting there 4 hours early and all. They seemed pleased. =] When they finally let us in, we ran to the stage to get good spots. Right up front, I might add. I was so excited.
The first band that played was Centerpointe, who own. They are me and Terri's band. Tom, the lead vocalist and guitarist, talked to me in between songs... seeing as I was just inches away from him. I could fucking touch him. Getting to the show 4 hours early really paid off. A whole lot. Centerpointe played amazingly, of course. I requested that they play "So Silent" for Terri, who was there in spirit. (That's our song!) It was so incredible. I don't know how else to describe it. After their set, Tom let me have is water and then I got a drumstick. I was so happy. =]
Next up was Amsterband, who are from the Ozarks or Springfeild or something. They were pretty good.
Finally, Ludo's first set came up. Oh baby, it was intense. Not having moved from the spot in was in before, I was inches from Andrew's face. As he sang, I was looking right up at him and he kept turning his eyes to me and smiling. He was really having a good time up there. And just to make a side comment here, during "Goodwill Hunting..." he definantly held my hand at the "holding hands and drinking milkshakes" part of the song. It was adorable. I am very lucky. By far, my favorite song they played was "Saturday Night Thunderbolt". I enjoyed the first set 436847324837832 million times better than the second.
When the set ended, Lona, Alyssa, Katie, and I gave up our spots to go meet the bands. I first went to Centerpointe's merch table and spoke with Tom a little. He invited me to his next show on Saturday October the 7th at the Attic (on Clayton) and I made sure he knew I'd be there. We discussed how insanely skinny he was and how much I loved him. Then I purchased one of their CDs, even though I already have one (It's burnt but don't tell Tom that. He was pretty excited that I was buying another copy.) Then, I asked him to sign my drumstick. "I'm not a drummer," he commented as he wrote his name. "I've never signed a drumstick before." But it turned out alright. That Tom Butler is a fine young gentleman.
Next, I made my way over to the Ludo table. There, in all his glory, was Andrew. I told him how amazing his show was and the thanked me for coming out. He looked at my name tag and remembered by name for the rest of the night (Yay!). I asked for a hug and he gave me one without hesitation. (By the way, he give the most rad hugs.) That guy is so goddamn friendly. I love it! Then, as Andrew was conversing with his lesser fans, I bought some merch: a Ludo shirt and a copy of "Broken Bride". I asked him to sign it the CD. "I sure will, Kandy!" he said as he eagerly wrote his name on the disc. I was estatic. I think I got another hug from him there, but I don't exactly recall. I hugged that man like 649374283 times that night. I'm lucky, I know. After I got done there, I struggled to get ahold of all the Ludo boys and get there autographs on my CD. It took a while, but I succeded. I also got a hug from Matt, the drummer, who is a cutiepie. Then, Lona, Alyssa, Katie, and I talked to Andrew again and got pictures with him. He's so nice and down to earth. I swear, I could marry him.
By this time, the other set of shows had started up. A band called The Feed played (but I was with Andrew and then chilling with Lona, Alyssa and Katie so I didn't watch them) and then Treaty of Paris (I caught the end of their set). Then, it was time for Ludo again. I jumped across the stage and got back to my original spot, catching the glances of the angry kids in the audience. But I could care less. I had to be in front of Andrew again. =]
Ludo's second set was less enjoyable for me, seeing as how I was constantly being flung into the stage due to the "moshing" kids further back in the crowd. (I got bruises on my knees from the damn stage.) I swear I landed on Andrew's shoe once, but maybe I'm not remembering correctly. This time through, they played "Girls On Trampolines", one of my favorites. It was really good. They are really good. I love them. Period. At the end of the set, I screamed at Andrew: "Can I have your pick?" Since he and I are super tight, I got it. Ludo owns my life.
When they were finally done, the girls and I made our way to the exit. Andrew was in the crowd with us and I wished him good show for the second time. He pulled me into a hug (again) and asked me to come see him the next time he's in town. OF COURSE I WILL.
On Friday I went to the Kennedy football game again with Madeleine. Every once and a while it started raining, which made it unfun. But I hung out with Madeleine, Lola, and Brigid the whole time, which cancled out the unfunness from the rain. We talked to Tony and met his friend Alex, who's supercool. I like him alot. The Celts won like 55 to 7. Yeah, we own. After the game was over, Madeleine, Maggie, Lola, AJ, Tony, and Alex all went to the McDonalds on Big Bend and ate food. I took lots of pictures of us being rad. Then I took Maggie and AJ home and then I went to bed.
On Sunday, I worked in the morning and then went of Jordan's house. We were so hungry that we went out to eat at China Buffet and then got some movies from Blockbuster. We watched Ella Enchanted (shut up, it was good) and fell in love with Prince Char. Haha. He was such a hunksickle.
